Breakfast And Your Metabolism

I don’t understand people who don’t eat breakfast. How can you not eat breakfast after hours of no food during the night? Personally I have to have breakfast. I can’t function without it.

Plus, eating breakfast is beneficial for weight loss. Your metabolism is kick started by eating breakfast and continues to run more efficiently all day because you’ve eaten first thing.

People sometimes avoid breakfast because they want to save calories for later on. But the detrimental effects of skipping breakfast far outweigh any calorie savings.

In a study by the UC Berkeley, it was discovered that people who don’t eat breakfast are more likely to be overweight than people who do.

Not eating breakfast can lead to stronger hunger pangs in the afternoon and evening, which of course lead to more food consumption and a tendency to grab at sugary, fatty foods.

I also find that I have more energy, better brain function and a stable mood when I’ve eaten in the morning. It stops me turning into the Incredible Hulk.

If I can’t stomach a full meal in the morning, I just have something small such as half a banana (carbs) and some cottage cheese (protein). It’s better than nothing!
